We are very lucky and privileged in Scotland that all new parents who want one, can get a Baby Box, it is an amazing scheme and when it finally comes is something that feels like a true right of passage for many new families. The baby box sling has became something that is known of all over the UK and can offer families an amazing parenting tool.

Babywearing has always existed it is not some new ‘fad’, we believe it is how early human with babies and young children were able to spread across the planet, and in modern times it is enabling families all over the world to work, to get out and see friends and family, to settle their babies, to create bonds, and recently studies have shows that it can help increase breastfeeding rates and help combat perinatal mood disorders.

Babywearing is an incredibly powerful tool for parenting and is not just for babies; toddlers and pre-schoolers still need carried sometimes – little legs get tired faster and big feelings can happen anywhere! A sling can make this easier for parents.

But deaths have happened due to unsafe babywearing, which is where education around babywearing comes in. As a babywearing/carrying consultant I am trained to teach parents, caregivers, and other interested parties how to use slings/carriers and baby wear SAFELY and do this via workshops and one-to-one consultations. I want to share this amazing parenting tool with everyone I can so that is why I have opened my own sling library, offering a range of slings and carriers for only £15 per 30 day hire.
